Situation

Background Information
21 August 1942 Guadacanal British Solomon Islands Following the initial success of the landings earlier in the month, the marines have successfully captured the airfield and set up defenses along the perimeter. However, the US fleet has been defeated by the Imperial fleet and they have pulled out of the area, leaving the Marines on the island stranded and opened the opportunity for the IJN to land reinforcements. Marines are doing routine patrols around the east and west sides of the Edson's Ridge.
