Situation

Background Information
US Marine forces have pulled out from FOB Todd for the winter and have requested the help of the Australians to provide C-IED support for the duration of their holiday. Last night under the cover of darkness Taliban elements initiated a raid across the Afghan Army held territories of Bala Murgahab. Targets hit by the Taliban have been rigged with devious IEDs and our help has been requested. 1x EW Bushmaster will be deployed to support against remote detonation of IEDs alongside 1 transport bushmaster

Friendly Forces
1x C-IED Force consisting of 1x EOD element, 1x Security Element and 1x EW Bushmaster

Supporting Assets
Friendly security forces have fallen back to FOB Todd until the area is clear of IEDs. We can expect no air cover due to the weather however 81mm Mortar support will be available.

Enemy Forces
Mixed Taliban forces are expected in the area following the attack. Intel reports no assets heavier than technicals are present within 20 miles

Tasking
OBJ BM West: The ANA Regional HQ was assaulted and compromised we are to clear it of IEDs and search for any evidence of the bomb-maker OBJ BM South: The local population have informed is that yesterday before the attacks Taliban elemnts forced the local market to clear out. OB BM East: Suspected Taliban staging location for last nights attacks Following on any intel recovered is to be acted upon to secure the bomb maker alive or destroy Taliban compounds.

End-state
Capture of the bomb maker and defusal of all IEDs is the aim. Failure to do so will result in more deaths in the region

Execution

Commander's Intent
Our purpose is to restore security and freedom of movement within the area of operations following the recent taliban attacks, defuse IEDs and disrupt enemy IED making capability, search for evidence regarding the bomb-makers and capture or neutralize them and their positions.

Tasks and Sequencing
our goal is to capture the bomb maker alive, if doing so is impossible and the bomb maker is a grave threat to us or about to escape, only then is engaging allowed. We do not know how the bomb maker looks like so any intel is of utmost importance to us. ALL CALLSIGNS LOAD THEIR VEHICLE FULL OF SUPPLIES BEFORE DEPARTURE. at STARTEX BRIEFING WILL BE CONDUCTED AND FINAL PREPARATIONS ARE DONE. The moment we exit the fob we are in hostile territory, beware of ieds anywhere outside our FOB For general movement, squad medic will be driving and guarding the transport bushmaster, combat medic of 1-3 will be driving and guarding the EW bushmaster PHASE 0 BISHOP will depart following the black line until dismount, once dismounted BISHOP 1-1 will follow the green line and BISHOP 1-2 will follow the blue line. Both 1-1 and 1-2 will set up BOF overwatching the bridge and the other side. BISHOP 1-3 will follow the red line scanning for ieds and if necessary defuse/dispose any that are in the way. Once the bridge is clear of IEDs BISHOP 1-1 and BISHOP 1-2 will make their way over the bridge together with BISHOP 1 PHASE 1 Once BISHOP is across the bridge ALL CALLSIGNS will proceed with moving towards and clearing Objective BM WEST . BISHOP 1-3 will focus on clearing the area of IEDs and looking for intel with BISHOP 1-1 and BISHOP 1-2 supporting by clearing the area of taliban or holding security PHASE 2 BISHOP will follow the black line clearing BM SOUTH and once clear move along the pink line and clear BM EAST and clear that. ALL CALLSIGNS will have the same tasking as in phase 1 with the additional expectation to find the bombmaker and capture him alive PHASE 3 Depending on how the mission goes and the intel found, BISHOP will either continue on its objectives or RTB and ENDEX

Resupply
ALL CALLSIGNS WILL LOAD THEIR VEHICLE FULL OF SUPPLIES THEY NEED AS THAT WILL ACT AS THEIR RESUPPLY FOR THE MISSION. Emergency resupply will be coordinated through BISHOP 1
