Situation

Background Information
A routine convoy of two MRAPs and 6 ISAF personnel carrying munitions from ISAF FOB Ishaqi was ambushed en-route to ANA Forward Outpost Lidash late last night. Reaper drones confirm the explosion site as 1km south-west of Outpost Lidash, on the north east outskirts of Rasheed. Fearing a delayed response from the ANA, ISAF Command orders a QRF team to be despatched immediately to respond. At least 2 survivors are believed to have evaded to a wooded area to the south east, but we have since lost contact. 4 ISAF soldiers are unaccounted for and we're ordered to secure the survivors, secure and retrieve intelligence and locate at all costs, all 6 bodies, alive or otherwise.

ISAF QRF under the command of United Task Force, consisting of - AH-64 Apache Longbow - Merlin HC3 CSAR (Search and Rescue / MERT) - Merlin HC3 18 GPMG (Transport)

Supporting Assets
The ANA Outpost at Lidash has a roughly platoon Strength in garrison, but is only patrolled at night, and it does not have the force strength to support us at this time. The US Air Force are providing continuous support through their Global Hawk squadrons.

Enemy Forces
Unknown. The area to the east of the irrigation canal has been historically safe under ANA control, but we believe a insurgent cell are behind this attack, and any intelligence toward to the attackers location is vital.

Locate, secure and rescue 6 ISAF personnel from a confirmed VBIED attack in northern Diyala

End-state
Return to ISAF FOB Ishaqi with all 6 personnel, dead or alive.
