--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationFollowing an unexpected delay in securing the first peninsula of the region and the first airfield, fresh Coalition troops and equipment have been brought forward in order to conduct a determined assault against the airfield and its ancillary installations. Stiff enemy resistance is expected to continue, Russian troops well aware of the airfield's strategic importance as a beachhead for launching further attacks inland.
Friendly Forces
1x Infantry platoon supported by; 1x assault/ transport helicopter. 2x Puma IFV
Enemy Forces
Russian regular infantry supported by light and heavy armour and potential for aircraft to leave the airfield.
Mission
TaskingCoalition forces will push to secure the remaining portion of the peninsula containing several designated enemy targets in and around the airfield. Sabotaging enemy communications may assist in slowing down enemy QRF ready time and co-ordination. Capturing any supplies found will assist in the war effort for our side. Primary Tasking -Assault and secure Barracks and other important structures at the Airfield. -Secure the communications hub West of the Airfield Secondary Tasking -Secure enemy supply docks East of the Airfield -Secure bunker line East of the Airfield -Search and Destroy any camps and installations not yet spotted by initial recon. -Secure any supplies found for use by the Coalition.
End-state
Upon completion of Primary Tasking and as many Secondary Taskings as possible, Coalition forces to go firm at the captured Airfield for ENDEX.
Execution
Commander's IntentThe unit is to move from its temporary FOB towards the airfield. Before hitting the airfield we need to capture a communications tower to slow a QRF from hitting us whilst we take the airfield. Once the airfield has been taken the unit will move to clear through a fortified bunker system. Once that is done if time permits we will take the docks which is a stretch objective. Throughout this we must keep collateral damage to a minimum as we want to use the buildings once taken over.
Tasks and Sequencing
Coalition forces will step off from the FOB and begin moving to OP 1 to start recon on the airfield and base if possible.
From UAV and satalite imagery OP 1 won't have good eyes on the comms tower so Wolf 2 and Badger callsigns will begin to push up to the comms tower and capture it. In the unlikely event that the comms facility can be seen from OP 1 the unit will engage from a distance and then Wolf 2 and Badger will move up to it. Once wolf 2 and badger begin to engage the comms facility Wolf 1 will begin engaging the barracks on the south west of the airfield from a distance.
Once sector one has been cleared both callsigns will begin to move into sector 2 and start clearing the airfield. Wolf 2 and Badger focusing on the hangar and barracks and wolf 1 focusing on the barracks.
Once the airfield has been cleared the two squads will then work together to take out the bunkers. We can expect the QRF around this time so it is key that the bunkers are taken out quickly so we can fortify them to hold the QRF off.
Once sector three is cleared if time permits both callsigns will move up to the dockyard and clear that out
