Situation

Background Information
After securing the western part up to Le Pessagne the NATO forces on Malden continue to encircle the central mountainous area while taking over key enemy strongholds and aiding the local population. At the dawn of the new day, they deploy north.

Friendly Forces
Infantry platoon, with supporting medical and logistical helicopter.

Supporting Assets
FIA rebels are operating in the south of the AO and may support an attack on objective Andromeda

Enemy Forces
CSAT infantry occupy several small compounds and towns that make up the main objectives. Aside from this, small patrols are likely, but not anticipated to be challenging. Enemy may have QRF to the north that could be mechanized, and we have opted to bring a heavy AT to combat this if necessary, but with the assault on La Trinite, it is likely that their attention will be focused on friendly forces there, rather than in our AO.

Mission

Tasking
Clear AO Corvus of CSAT troops, and establish good relations with CIVPOP in local area.

End-state
AO Corvus clear of CSAT presence, and friendly forces starting to build a checkpoint on the MSR to the north of the AO.

Execution

Commander's Intent
The purpose of this mission is to clear AO Corvus of CSAT forces in conjunction with an allied assault on La Trinite, as we bid to take back control of the island from CSAT.

Tasks and Sequencing
Platoon will head north from La Pessagne and begin by eliminating a CSAT temporary coastal base (OBJ PERSEUS). FOX will assault the base while DOG provides BOF. Following the elimination of OBJ PERSEUS , the platoon will move north and take control of the north-western port, and the town of Goisse (OBJ HERCULES) . FOX will assault the port and then provide BOF for DOG to clear OBJ HERCULES . At this point we are likely to conduct a LOGPAK if not already done so, and the helicopter will transport each squad, in succession, from LZ HOP , to LZ SKIP . Once the Platoon has reconvened at LZ SKIP , they will commence the assault on Arudy OBJ ANDROMEDA) with FOX taking the north of the town and DOG taking the south, split by main road. Once OBJ ANDROMEDA is under our control, we will again mount up by succession in the helicopter at LZ LEAP and transport to LZ JUMP , where one team will secure the town and establish contact with CIVPOP and one squad will defend the natural chokepoint for the Logi team to build a checkpoint at OBJ ORION .

Resupply
MERT and LOGI Support (HAWK) will be available by helicopter and we do not foresee enemy AA presence. FOX has a Heavy AT that will need special consideration.
