--- OPERATIONS ORDER ---
Situation
Background InformationAerial photos taken during Defiance have revealed that the Soviets have brought in SCUD missile launchers to the area which have the potential to cause major damage to NATO forces in West Germany. Command have authorised a Squad of SAS troopers to neutralise this threat.
Friendly Forces
2x SAS Teams including SF Sappers if explosives are required to complete the mission.
Supporting Assets
C-47 painted as a civilian aircraft. Will withdraw once troopers are inserted.
Enemy Forces
Light regular infantry, little or no armoured vehicles expected as far behind enemy lines. Mainly logistics personnel.
Mission
TaskingUp to 4 Scud launchers are expected to be located across two locations, the location to the south is a likely firing point. The MSR between the two points may have supply vehicles travelling along them that can be commandeered. Troopers should try to remain covert at least until reaching the industrial complex to the north. There is no exfil planned for this operation, the commander should use his own discretion to get the teams out.
End-state
SCUD launchers located & disabled/destroyed
Execution
Commander's IntentThe intent of this mission is to remove Russians ability to execute long range attack on our allies via Scud missiles. We have identified three launchers that we will disable.
Tasks and Sequencing
- Adder will insert via HALO deep behind Russians lines - The Squad will move too the first skud site approaching from north and south. - after assessing the defenses of the site a movement plan will be devised to stealth in and quietly disable the launcher - the squad will then precure transport to the north where the squad will once again assess and infiltrate and disable the skuds - The squads will then steal a helicopter or other transportation and evac where possible we will keep stealth the whole mission. we are deep in Russian lines and discovery will almost certainly end in our death or capture
